Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, where to start...let's see: brownies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, Twix bars, Hershey Kisses, Reese cups, Girl Scout Cookies (any variety)...Ruffles with Helluva Good french onion dip, ICE CREAM (think Homer with his mouth open and drooling...)...french fries, tater tots, CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS...

Good luck Rebel! Mr. Witness was never DF'd but was out and exhibited the same pattern (wanting to go back when things got stressful). Unfortunately for me, he's in with a vengeance, baptized, and trying to be "Super Witness"! Stick to your guns, don't let him get back under their control. And if you do go to any meetings, be yourself...ask questions about everything and remember what you've read here.
Side note: I went to the Memorial this year and was sorely tempted to eat & drink, but out of respect for Mr. Witness I didn't...I now wish I had and had my daughters follow me!!

while the author's writing style is pedantic and he seems to be too full of himself, he makes some very interesting points about religion.

how accurate can the bible really be?
i am losing faith that it is accurate at all.. according to an article i read in our paper today they are now saying in translation there are no english words to match every word...so the scripture that say "peace on earth and goodwill towards all men " should really be " peace on earth to all men of goodwill ".. now if they can screw something that simple up..what else in the bible have they screwed up?.

Lore--Mr. Witness actually thanked me for the printout and told me that it was proof that I loved him. Then he proceeded to say that he would not be reading them or double checking them. See, I told him about the two versions of creation in Genesis 1 & 2 and he went running to his reference library (and I'm sure an elder or two) and came back to me with the decision that because chapter 2 starts with "Thus" that the second telling of creation was just a re-telling of the first. I said "yah, written by two people and put together by a third..." Anyway, long story short, I told him that he needed to think for himself, blah, blah, blah, ad nauseum, yadda yadda. Then he finished tieing his tie and left for his meeting. I also sent the list to a friend of mine who's some sort of Chrisitian (Church of the Calvary?) to see what he had to say. Of course, he started right off defending everything...
Again, thanks Lore! I got a kick out of their counting skills. Another one for you, and it's subtle, but in Matthew & Mark, there are differences in reasons for divorce. I had to write a paper on it for a NT class at college. I wish I still had my paper, but I don't and don't remember the specifics, but basically, in one book, the only reason is infidelity and in the other one, it's infidelity and something like "if she is displeasing in any way". As with most everything in the Holey Bibley, "displeasing in any way" is open for interpretation!

when i was growing up, i remember my parents would put those plastic "cover" things over my sisters panties and put those protective sheets on the bed to help them with potty training.
especially when they were doing great with using the potty on their own during the daytime.. my aunt in texas would beat her kids arses if they wet the bed.
(now i do not agree with this way).
Here's what I did with my daughter: To keep her from wetting the bed, I cutoff any drinks at 1 hour before bed time and then made sure she went potty before she went to bed. It worked perfectly. I wet the bed when I was little and my parents' solution was to get me up right before they went to bed (11pm) to go.

Too funy nvr! He's hooked up with the most annoying elder! Even if the guy wasn't a JW, he'd be annoying as hell. I told hubby that the guy was like a used car salesman, he told the guy, and the guy took it as a compliment! Geez.
